Credit Course: “Korean Society and Culture”

Course content:

This course presents the fundamental development of the Korean society and culture from historical perspective and contemporary politics dealing with the most important features of historical, social, cultural, political and economic aspects of Korean people. The people of Korean Peninsula were traditionally mostly peasants with a low living standard. Nevertheless, today, this is no longer true for the South Korea, which has emerged as one of the leading global industrial nations. The course places the political and economic contemporary regional development of Korea in the changing nature of the national politics and economies, especially its fast integration into the global system of values, regulations and standards.
